The knowledge of sin that came by the law brought Paul to this great cry for an inward deliverance. He found hollowness and insufficiency in the works of law but cries out for the great salvation that no work can bring about - The LIFE of which the Law testifies. This is the Great Deliverance we have in Christ. While many will question if this is the case as they assess their behavior or their circumstances, their deliverance is an undeniable reality that is wrought by the presence of Christ. The issue is not the sufficiency of grace (our deliverance) but ignorance regarding the sufficiency of the deliverance wrought. This is why Christ our Life must appear; to show/manifestly make known that this One Perfect Life who abides is the Victory over all. Enjoy.

Not I But Christ is the reality that Paul declared as the state of being in which he lived on a daily basis. However, "Not I" was a state of being in Adam as well. Man has never enjoyed one moment of independence. The soul of man has never existed in a state in which it could boast in any accomplishment or acquisition. Everything the soul has ever possessed has been furnished by the one who resides within it. The soul has always been governed and furnished by the presence of a man (Adam or Christ), leaving the soul in either condition without any basis of boasting whatsoever. This episode looks at the absolute force of our condition in Adam, but we also begin to scripturally show the superabounding nature of our state of being in Christ.

In this episode, our study in the first verses of Romans chapter 7 continues. This session focuses on the phrase, "When you were in the flesh". The past tense of that phrase poses a great difficulty for most who insist on a progressive Salvation that gradually rids us of the fleshly and installs more of the spiritual. This phrase "in the flesh" will be describe in the rest of chapter 7 as a condition that no amount of perfect adherence to law and religious observance can reverse. But we will also witness the only possible fix for and deliverance from such an enslavement. Enjoy.

In this episode, our study takes us into Romans chapter 7. At the beginning of this chapter, Paul will utilize an example of a woman who is married to a husband and how that husband constitutes a governing law that binds her. Paul will show that unless there is the death of this husband, there is no legal deliverance from the law of this man. This session will look at the unrelenting hold of this first husband and the law of that man and the deliverance that God has wrought in the soul that has been joined to another. Remember, Romans 7 and 8 are describing both states of marriage (7 married to the first husband and the results / 8 married to ANOTHER and the results). Enjoy.
